In honor of San Diego Gives, we aim to raise $25,000 – enough to fund a school pantry for an entire year! Two generous donors, The Northstar Sustainability Fund and Insmed Incorporated, have each contributed one-third of our goal. We need your help to fill the gap!
Nearly 400,000 people across San Diego County face hunger, including over 100,000 children. Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization on a mission to end hunger through food rescue. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region.
Feeding San Diego's School Pantry Program creates vital resources for families facing food insecurity in places they already frequent – their child's school. We currently partner with over 62 schools throughout the county to create School Pantries. On average, it costs $25,000 to fund a school pantry for a year.
